Hi Ruediger

OK a quick response to a very big question. Beaches I would spend time on for kiting and surfing:

Ponta do Ouro Malongane. Look up Ponta Malongane.

Ponta Milibangalala in the Maputo Elephant Reserve - no facilities so real bush camping.

Zonguene - www.zongoene.com/

Tofo / Tofinho: Turtle Cove.

Massinga: www.morrungulo.com

Vilanculos: Baobab Lodge.

Inhassoro: Goody Villas.

Then big leap inland, leave out Beira.

Quelimane: Zavora Lodge - they allow camping.

Pebane: Look up Pebane Fishing Camp or perhaps skip and head to Ilha de Mocambique.

Murrebue, south of Pemba: Il Pirata

From here north, not easy to camp near a beach.

Quionga: Very nice beach nearby. Contact missionaries Andre and Annemarie Thiart: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. They also have a nice little campsite near their house in the village. Also a great source of info re the Rovuma ferry crossing.

Another big tip, join the DriveMoz group on Facebook - great bunch of people and huge resource of advice, info and assistance.

Go well

Mike

Hi

sorry about your delays and the slow reply.

No real option other than all the way up the main road north, the EN.1. Will take 3 days from Bilene. Really badly broken tarmac on a stretch north of the Save River, and then from Inchope to Caia.

Go well

Mike
