Multiple Entry Visa for US Citizens

Hi All,

I have a 90 day multiple entry tourist visa for Mozambique. The visa says it is valid for 30 days on arrival. Does this meaning that within the 90 day period I can exit and enter the country at will and each time I enter I can stay for 30 days? I'm asking because I will be in Mozambique for around 25 days and then am planning to go out to surrounding countries for a week and come back for another week to Mozambique. I want to know if I will be able to re-enter Mozambique and stay for another 30 days the second time I enter the country.

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to mozguide

Yes you will be able to leave Moz for a week and come back. You can leave and re enter on a new 30 day entry permit as many times as you wish during 90 days from date of first entry. Multiple entry visas can only be extended at border posts, while 30 day border visas (visto fronteira) are extendable for a further 30 days in Mozambique at Migracao offices in provincial capitals, but you may run into obstructive officials so apply 3 days in advance to give time to get to a border if needs be.
