Hi

not much so say. Vehicle entry MT200 or R70, same per person per night for camping. Only official camp is Ponta Milibangalala, but no facilities except brackish well water available so bring everything including portaloos with you.

No contacts and no bookings possible. Mili is packed over Easter and Christmas and in my opinion unpleasant due to unruly behaviour, overcrowding and general lack of respect for the environment during those periods.

Hi Mike

Thanks for you quick reply. We are planning to sleep there the evening of the 1st of November. What would the distance be from Ponta malongane to Mili. and what would the driving time be?

Thanks in advance for you reply.

Cant remember the distance but prob about 100km. Last time it took me 4hrs, excl a stop at one of the lakes to watch the elephants (beware they are quite skittish).

hi
the most important thing to make a day trip worthwhile is to be at the Catembe ferry at 0500 as the trip across the river could delay you. Then I would just plan to go direct to Milibangalala, stopping at the lake you will see on this route. It will be about 4hrs Catembe to Mili so enjoy the beach and have lunch and start your return trip no later than 4pm. The Catembe Ferry stops running at 10pm .
