I don't follow you on that last part, coming into Nampula from East or West? Where is Montes Nairucu?

OK
On second look I don't think that going via Gurue and Alto Molocue is really an option if coming from Mandimba and Cuamba. very long detour and roads not much better before getting to Alto Molocue but yes tar from there to Nampula.

There are two viable options Malawi - Nampula, depending on whether you want to enter Moz at Milange or at Mandimba. First is the direct road Cuamba - Malema - Ribaue - Nampula. If on this route the turn-off (signposted) to Montes Nairucu is on your LHS about 15km before you reach Nampula. Second route option is Milange - Molumbo - Gurue - Alto Molocue - Murrupula - Nampula. If using this you will turn to Ribaue and Cuamba as you come into Nampula and then the turn-off to Nairucu will be about 15km along this road on your RHS.

Hi

Marrupa - Montepuez not passible in the rainy season - many flooded stretches and you won't get across the Balama river. Rains have already started and will not stop until about March /April.
