my wife and i are planning to drive through moz from kosi bay to komatipoort with our new terios in late september. we would like to know if our car will handle the road from kosi bay to maputo, especially since i have limited deep sand driving experience? we also are looking for a place to camp somewhere between kosi and maputo for a couple of night

Your terios will be fine . I have travelled that road a few times , its slow going but the sand is not terribly deep .
The locals run up and down here in 4x2 pickups .
From the border to Catembe takes us 5 hours .

There are various models of Terios - if you have the "off-road" version it is excellent in sand and mud - just steep rocky gradients a no-no due to lack of low-range. If the standard 4wd - very good too. If a 2wd drive terios then stick to tar and good gravel.
