Now that the cyclone has come and gone does anyone have an update on the Inchope to Vilaculos route, esp the Save River crossing? We are going down there in a couple of weeks for the Easter Weekend.

Hi there.
It is still raining on this route. The Muxungue - Save bridge - Pambarra section was already in a shocking condition prior to the cyclone and folk with good 4x4 and skills to match are getting through.
My concern is that the Buzi and Save Rivers are still rising and bridge s could be damaged.
I would wait for two days to see what effect the flood waves still on their way from the interior will have.

So how much time would one need to travel from Inchope to Pambarra aprox?

Hi
If the rain stops I can only estimate 8 hrs Inchope to Pambarra. Sections of the tarmac now completely gone and surface below is slippery clay soil.
My contact at The Buffalo Camp 30km north of Save River says it has been raining today, but the Save River flood is likely to arrive at the Bridge tomorrow.
Anything can happen for the next few days.

Hi there,
Where are the places or towns you would recommend, along this Inchope - Pambarra route, to pit stop that has decent rest rooms and maybe food also.

Hi
Sorry for slow reply. I have been in Banhine National Park out of network.
70km south of Muxungue (Nova Golega) there is the Buffalo Camp. Very nice.
